Hello everyone. It might have been better to explain this before I began posting these journal entries online, but I wasn’t sure how to go about it. I lost my friend Hope late last year. She’s the one who’s journal you’ve been reading. The morning of November 16th, 2024, Hope was found dead in her tent from a single bullet wound to the head. This journal was used as evidence to convict her killer, after reading its contents you can probably gather who killed her. Hope’s life was just beginning. She was a beautiful young woman who brought so much joy into my life as she did for so many others. Hope really latched onto the idea of being a writer someday. She asked me time and time again to help her figure out the best way to share this journal online, and I told her I would when I found the time. Too little too late.

When this journal was given to me by her lawyers after the trial had ended. I thought it was best to do what I should have done the first time she asked. And here we are now. Hope was like a sister to me. Her magnetic personality made us fast friends. And even though I feel like I failed her when it mattered most. I hope she would be at least happy to know her story is being shared.

Hope made one last entry before she was killed. I’m nowhere near the writer she was, so I’ll leave you with her.
